Ainslie School Assemblies

School Assemblies are held each Wednesday alternating between Junior, Senior and Whole School Assemblies . The Pre school children sometimes attend assemblies. Assembly dates and additional information are included in our Newsletter, The Altiora.

Classes take it in turns to organise the School Assemblies. Children from Kindergarten to Year 6 take the leading role in conducting these Assemblies. The school encourages and supports every student in developing self confidence and skills in public speaking and provides many such opportunities throughout the school year.

School Assemblies also provide opportunities to acknowledge special events, individual or group achievements, share class study topics, present performances of drama, music and present Awards to students to acknowledge academic, personal or sporting achievements.

Children who are learning a musical instrument are encouraged to use these occasions as an opportunity for performance in front of an audience.

Parents and community members are always welcome to attend our School Assemblies. A special invitation is extended to parents when their own child's class is conducting the Assembly or when they are involved in individual or group Assembly presentations.

The traditions of the School Song, Prayer and Pledge form an important part of each school Assembly. The elected School Captains and Vice Captains lead the school in reciting the school Prayer and Pledge.
