RULES OF THE FACILITY
Birrigai staff are here to ensure you enjoy your visit, please call on us if we can assist.
- Please protect and be considerate of our special environment, and leave it as it is for others to enjoy.
- Please stay off the landscaped areas, and place all litter in the bins provided.
- ALL adventure/play equipment is out of bounds. This equipment can only be used when a trained Birrigai Staff member is employed to instruct and supervise the use of the equipment. Note: this equipment can be dangerous if used inappropriately. Damage to equipment will be charged to your group.
- Due to the fires the extremities of Birrigai are considered unsafe areas. Please do not go outside the area marked with pickets. This is for your own protection. (safety zone maps will be provided)
- Please do not feed the wildlife, especially the emus.
- Please keep the accommodation units neat and tidy at all times. Blankets and mattresses must NOT be removed from the accommodation units at any time.
- Food and alcohol may not be taken into, or consumed in the accommodation units. Note: If alcohol is to be consumed, please discuss this with the Principal before your visit.
- Please report promptly to one of the contacts on the emergency list, any breakages or maintenance problems.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere at anytime at Birrigai.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- No firearms, ammunition, explosives or pyrotechnics are permitted at Birrigai.
- The speed limit at Birrigai is 20 kph. Please observe this at all times, as children and animals often use the roads.
- Cars must be parked in the allocated car parks. Cars not parked in an approved area risk being removed by the Principal, and the School will not be liable for any damage sustained in the removal.
- Fires must not be lit on the property. A fireplace is available in the Main Hall and wood will be provided on prior request. The cost is listed under ‘Birrigai Charges’. (Gathering of wood is not permitted from off the property).
- First Aid. You will need to provide your own first aid officer and supplies.
- Help us to conserve energy. Please turn off all lighting and heating while buildings are not occupied.
- Catering/Non Catering: Birrigai catering staff are able to provide for catering requirements. It is a clear Birrigai policy that food supplies are not to be mixed. This means that if Birrigai catering is requested, clients are not to bring their own food to camp. There are health and legal reasons for this policy.
