Enrolling in HIGH SCHOOL and COLLEGE at MCSS:

MCSS offers a dynamic, innovative and challenging education program for students in their High School Years (Year 7 to Year 10) and College Years (Year 11 and Year 12).

Priority Enrolment Areas

MCSS gives priority enrolment to students living within its Priority Enrolment Area (PEA). The following suburbs are included in the PEA for MCSS High School Campus (844kb): Charnwood, Dunlop, Evatt, Florey, Flynn, Fraser, Gungahlin, Latham, Macgregor, Melba and Spence.

College Students are guaranteed a place in their Priority Enrolment Area (PEA) (1.42MB). Students can apply for a non-PEA College, and will be considered based on specific criteria.

Alternatively, students can print a copy of the Application for Year 11 Placement form (228kb) and submit to Director of Schools Southern Canberra GPO Box 158 Canberra ACT 2601.

26 April 2010	Online applications go live.
11 June 2010	Online applications close at midnight. Any applications after this time will be considered as late and will be included in the second round.*
30 July 2010	Offers of placement are dispatched by colleges.
13 August 2010	Last day for students to advise colleges of acceptance of placement.
20 August 2010	Applications for Reviews of placement close at midnight.
31 August 2010	Notification of outcome of review of placement.
10 September 2010	Applications for Appeals of placement close at midnight.
17 September 2010	Appeals heard.
24 September 2010	Students, receiving and leaving colleges, are notified of result of their appeal.
